TwinSME Partners Hold Second Online Meeting to Review Project Progress

On 3 July 2026, partners of the Erasmus+ project TwinSME – Twin Transition: Empowering European SMEs for the Digital and Green Future met online for their second project meeting to review progress across the different work packages and agree on the next steps for implementation.

The meeting brought together the seven project partners from Slovakia, Greece, Luxembourg, Malta, Spain and Poland. Discussions covered project management, the development of the SME maturity framework and self-assessment tool, the digital tools being prepared for SMEs, future educational materials and ongoing dissemination activities.

A key focus was Work Package 2, where partners are developing a maturity framework and grid to help SMEs assess their progress in the green and digital transition. The future self-assessment tool will include benchmarking possibilities, allow users to save their answers and take into account company characteristics such as country, size and sector.
Progress was also reported on Work Package 3, which is developing practical digital tools for green and digital management systems. A preliminary prototype had already been prepared for review, with partners assessing aspects such as usability, navigation, clarity, interaction and practical value for SMEs. The project is working towards at least eight operational tools that will later be tested and made available through the project website.
Partners also discussed the next phase of Work Package 4, which will develop 12 educational videos on the green and digital transition for SMEs, together with training and consultation activities for SME managers.

The meeting concluded with an update on dissemination and communication activities, including the project website, social media campaigns and stakeholder engagement. These activities will continue throughout the project to ensure that the tools and resources developed reach SMEs and relevant business-support organisations across Europe.

The second online meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to review the work completed so far, coordinate upcoming tasks and ensure that the project remains focused on delivering practical and accessible support for SMEs navigating the twin green and digital transition.
